🇼🇸Samoan Language🗣️ Week🗓 Art🎨🖌️

Talofa Lava bloggers,

On Monday the 27th of May 2024, Room 6 made a Samoan language week art. We had to go to the class site and go on Cybersmart. There was a link and we pressed on it. It lead us to a place called “Cybersmart Challenge” It had instructions about what we were going to do. We found out that we had to copy a template on Google drawings. that was on that page and we had to make Samoan patterns on the Google drawings. When I copied it, it just had a grid that helped me sort out my designs. Every pattern that I made on that Google drawings has a meaning to it. I used the curve line tool on Google drawings to help me do this.

Here is my Samoan Language Week art:

I hope you like my Samoan Language week art!

Here is what they are:

  1.  The first one is a Star.
  2. The second one is a Jellyfish.
  3. The third one means protected.
  4. The fourth one is a seagull.
  5. The fifth one is a starfish.
  6. The sixth one is a cross.
  7. The seventh one is a Worm or Catapiller.
  8. And the last two mean headrest used by Samoans when in a lying postion.

🌨️Hail🥶 2024🗓️

Kamusta bloggers,

On the 29th of May 2024, it hailed a lot! When it first started, Room 6 was watching from the windows of the classroom. Then after it stopped, Mr Albert said that we could go and play in the Hail. After 2 minutes, Room 8 and 9 joined us. We were all throwing the hail everywhere and it was a lot of fun! I loved it! It was on the court, grass, deck of room 6, the Fale and more! It had not hailed all year! Wow😆! Zaina’s feet got numb and Eva’s and my hands got numb! It was so cold and fun! I want it to hail again so we can play in the hail again and throw it at each other!.

Here is some photo’s and video’s that Mr Albert took when we were playing in the hail:

And here is the picture that I took from inside the class after we came back in after playing:

🛣️Road 🦺Safety 2024 🗓️

Salam bloggers,

On the 21st of May 2024, Pohatu Class had to make a poster on Google drawing about road safety. Before we made the poster, we played a Kahoot about road safety. I got 4th place! After that, we had to make a Google drawing and get pictures and put them on. I used background remover to make my pictures a PNG. I tried my best and it was a bit messy in my opinion because I had not put so many images in a Google drawing before. It was really fun! When I finished, I showed Mr Albert my poster and he said that I had to share it with Danika and Kayshjarn because it was going to be in the Road Safety slides in assembly that was this week! I sent it to them both. And they picked mine, Eva’s and  Zaina’s to show the school.

It was easy to remove the background and put the pictures in. The hard part for me was choosing the pictures and choosing the background colour. I just liked all the background colours that were there!

🕵Exploring 📝blogs

Kia Ora bloggers,

On the 22nd of May 2024, Pohatu Class had Cybersmart. We had to make a copy of a Google drawing and it was a BINGO. It said things like”where you can search their blog” and we had to take a screen shot of where we could search their blog. They were boxes and we had to put the screenshot in.There were 3 options of blogs. They were Muakkir for NWS, Stella from ODS and Asmah from HPS. I choose Asmah’s and it was fun to do the BINGOO board!

I found it easy to take screenshots and out them in the Google drawing in the correct boxes. I found it hard to find the Maths because Asmah only had one blog of maths.

Here is my BINGO board:

Pohatu Class👩🏻‍🏫 Assembly

Kia Ora bloggers,

On the 9th of May 2024, Pohatu Class had their first Class Assembly! After Lunch eating, Mrs James(she was our reliever) told us to go to the classroom for the roll. After the roll, Room 6 went back to the hall to practice for the assembly.  Bethany and Zaina were the MC’s for our class assembly.

I talked after the National Anthem because I was one of the people to talk about Warren Pohatu. I talked about The Kiwi and how the Rogokako won the race and Paua lost. Rogokako used his gaint pet kiwi to win the race. But, that was not the thing I was nervous about. It was about the Kpop dance Eva, Bethany and I were going to proform. I had a cute pink shirt with a hello kitty on it and some shorts. It was really cute!

When the assembly started, I felt nervous. When I had to talk about Warren Pohatu, my pronunciation was good, because they were some Maori words in there(I don’t know Maori). When it was time to do the Kpop dance, I felt so nervous. but I got over with it and most people liked the dance.

Pick a path👣 of sharing online👩🏻‍💻

Salam bloggers,

On the 10th of May 2024, Eva, Zaina and Anoosha(me) made a pick a path for Cybersmart. We got to choose what level. Beginner, Confident and Advanced. Eva, Zaina and I worked together in Advanced. We had to make a pick a path about how to share online and what you should not or should tell people.

I found it challenging to pick a background and theme for our pick a path. The easy thing was writing the answers, the slides and also to basically do everything expect the background and theme was easy.

If you want to see our pick a path, here it is:
