✨Generating Media🌐 using A.I🤖

Hello bloggers,

On the 13th of November 2024, room 6 did Cybersmart. Mr Albert told us that we are doing a lesson about Media. We had 3 options of what we could do. Our options were that we could create art and see if Ai can identify what you are drawing. Our second option was to turn text into painting to generate your own art. Our last option was to create a pick-a-path or Kahoot with a mixture of generate A.I images and original. Can the people playing identify the originals? Since Eva was painting in another classroom it was just Zaina and I. We chose to do the second task. There was a link so we pressed on it and it led us to a website called Firefly Adobe. Firefly Adobe is a website where you can write a description of what you want A.I to generate and four pictures appear according to your description.

 

I took a few screenshots of some pictures that are generated by A.I and are real pictures. Zaina and I  made a slideshow of the pictures that where generated by A.I and also real. The slideshow is a type of quiz that you have to guess if the picture is A.I generated or real. Have a try!

How 🤔FIlm🍿 Festival 💃🏻🕺🏽 is going⬅️…

Today I will tell you how Film Festival is going for my group. As I have said in my past Film festival blog post, my group is Zaina, Eva, Danika, Basma and I. Zaina‘s name is Violet, Eva‘s name is Hannah, Danika‘s name is Ivy, Basma’s name is Maria and my name is Aria. Our film is going great! Sometimes we restarted but that was okay. The practice Mr Albert made us do is really helping!

 

We have finished most of the filming. We just have a few scenes that we need to fix and film and then we have to edit on iMovie. I like how the film is going and I really like the story, too.

 

Here is our Film festival story if you don’t know it already:

Our movie is called “Hannah’s Party” and our movie is about that Eva having a birthday party, she invites everyone except Zaina because of the way Zaina looks. Eva’s friends ask Eva to invite Zaina. Eva says fine but she doesn’t want Zaina to come near her. At lunch time, Zaina found Eva‘s jacket but then Eva thought it was a great time to frame her. So, she did. At the party, Eva asked if they want to play a game. Everyone says yes, including Zaina but Eva just says not you, stealer and then walks away. Eva‘s friends(Danika, Basma and I) say that Zaina is looking sad and she should apologize. Eva finally agreed and said sorry to Zaina. Zaina just thought it was a prank, but then Eva said that it was not a prank. So, they became friends and everyone went to the playground behind Eva‘s house and played.

So that’s our Film. Do you like it? We still have to do some of the birthday scenes and we will be done!

🤔How do you🫵🏻 feel😌 Reading📖 task📝

On Monday the 5th of August 2024, Room 6 had reading tasks to do in the middle block. Zaina, Eva and I are in the same reading group(Willy Wonka) so we had the same activity. Eva was sick so it was just Zaina and I on Monday. Our task was to make a copy of a slideshow that was on our class site. It was a slideshow where there were 2 poems and 1 poem was for one slide and the other for another slide. The first poem was called “Have you ever”. The next slide was for Have you ever poem. The activity was quite easy. I finished it in about 15-20 minutes. The next peom was a bit hard. I read the poem and the slide for that poem was that we had to find a metaphor, an alliteration and we had to make a simile.

 

I found it challenging for the 2nd poem because it was a bit hard to find the metaphor. The first poem was much easier.

🎬Film Festival🎪 Progress

Room 6 has started working on our Film festival movies. We first had to watch some movies from last year or from other classes and then we had to think about what movie we might make with our group about Relationship and Friendship. .My group is Eva, Zaina, Danika, Basma and me. We got to choose our groups and I’m happy we could. Eva‘s name in the movie is going to be Hannah, mine is going to be Aria, Zaina‘s is Violet, Danika‘s name is Ivy and Basma‘s name is Maria.

Our movie is called “Hannah’s Party” and our movie is about that Eva having a birthday party, she invites everyone except Zaina because of the way Zaina looks. Eva’s friends ask Eva to invite Zaina. Eva says fine but she doesn’t want Zaina to come near her. At the party, it was like Zaina was not even there to Eva. They were all playing happily and Eva‘s friends felt bad for Zaina. Zaina finally gathered up enough courage to tell Eva how badly she’s been treated. At the end all of them had fun at Eva‘s Birthday Party.

Eva learns not to bully or judge anyone at the end of the story.

So that is what our Film Festival movie is about. I really like the title and the story. We thought about the theme that was Relationship and Friendship and Zaina thought about the idea of the birthday party.

 

3 movies from our school(Hay Park School) will get chosen to get screened in the St Lukes EVENT cenimas and some more from other schools. Then, in Term 4 when the 3 movies have been chosen then the people in those 3 movies will come to the St Lukes EVENT cenimas to watch their movie and other schools movies too!

🏢MOTAT Dash✨ Robots🤖❗

On the 26th of June 2024, Room 6 went to Room 7 to do some coding. 2 people from MOTAT came and told us how to use it and code it. One person also said that you have to pay attention to the name of the robot because you had to connect the dash robot to the iPad that we were going to use. One of the people(I can’t remember her name) said that we had to get in pairs. Eva and I went in one pair, Zaina and Stephine went in another pair.

 

First, one person had to get a Dash robot and one person from the pair had to get an ipad. She said we first had to connect the robot to the iPad app that was already on. Our robot’s name was Keith and we could not connect but we tried again and it worked. We started coding and one of the people said that we had to make a dance and then after 10 minutes, we will sit in a circle and have a dance party!! Eva and I coded a dance. It spun around 3 times!

 

After that dance party, she said that we had some activities we could do. We could code pur robots to do some challenge cards, be in sync with another robot and also have races! There was also a mat that we could code the robot so it would go on the road!! We chose to do the in sync one with Zaina and Stephine! It was really fun!

 

After 10-15 minutes of that, we had to pack up, we turned the robots off and put the ipads back on the table. We sat on the mat and one of the people(that was basically leading it) said that they might come with another robot again. But they said MAYBE!

🌟Matariki Pixel👾 Art🖼️

On the 20th of June 2024, Room 6 had a reliever. It was Mr Davidson. He told us to go on Room 6’s class site and go on the Cybersmart page. There was this link that took us to the Cybersmart Challenge! When we scrolled down, there were instructions about what to do. There was a link to a Google sheets that we had to copy it. it was a Google Sheets. After that, we went to the page that was called “draw”. There was a big blank space where we had to make something related to Matariki. I made the 9 stars with the word Matariki on the top. I made it a picture frame. Also, when you type a letter in a box and the colour of the letter will turn that box in that colour! I helped Eva and Zaina a bit, too. We had to schedule this post because we wrote this post on the 21st of June and it published on the 24th of June 2024😀.

I have 9 stars like Matariki and I also wrote Matariki at the top. The grey spots are the tiny stars that are normal stars.

The challenging part for me was to think about what I could make and also write the letters on the top of my pixel art. The easy part for me was to use the colours and fill up the space.

🤔Pick a path👣 about One🥇 small step🦶

On the June 13th 2024, We had a reading task to do. We had to read a book called “One Small Step“.  After we read that book, we had eight questions in a Google docs that we had to answer. Question 6 was a bit hard but I did it! After we(Eva, Zaina and I ) did all the questions, on the bottom there was some activities that we could do. Zaina, Eva and I choose to do the Pick a path about the book.

 

The next day, we looked at the pick a path and there were only 5 slides! We had 16 slides on the 13th but on the 14th we had 5! We were so sad that we had to redo EVERYTHING😢!!

 

So, today from 5 slides, Eva, Zaina and I have now made 34 slides! We made the ending a bit funny!

 

The challenging part was trying to think what the questions could be. The easy part was putting in the links and choosing colours for our Pick a Path!

📕All about 🌌Yuri Gagarin🚀

On the 11th of June 2024, Pohatu Class watched a video about the first man in space.In that video, there was a woman saying that when a five year old girl and her were planting potato’s, then they saw something bright and orange. They were terrified. But it was just Yuri Gagarin. When he said “I am one of you” in Russian(because they were in Russia) they stopped being scared of him.

 

His name is Yuri Gagarin and he died at 34 years old. After Mr Albert showed us the video on the TV, Mr Albert told us our task. We had to make a Google doc, slides or drawing to research about Yuri Gagarin and put the information there. Mr Albert said we could work in 2’s but Eva asked if we could work in 3’s! And he let us so Zaina, Eva and I were in a group.

 

The challenging part of making the slides was finding the words we could put in. The easy part was finding the picture’s and inserting them.

📰Advertising a Samoan🇼🇸 story📖 by a poster📜

On Thursday the 30th of May 2024, I made a poster to advertise a Samoan mythology story. We didn’t have Mr Albert, we had Miss Hover.There was a Samoan Language week slide on our class site and there were lots of activities. There were links and videos and learning tasks on Google slides. I chose the slide where there were 4 videos. I chose the 2nd one, Samoan mythology story 2019.(that’s the title of the video) and started watching. It was about 3 minutes and it was entertaining! Eva and I did the same activites since we liked them and Zaina did a pick-a-path for number and vegetables in Samoan. I watched halfway of the story called Sina and the eel but I didn’t like that one. Eva did that one, Sina and the eel.

Pohatu Class👩🏻‍🏫 Assembly

On the 9th of May 2024, Pohatu Class had their first Class Assembly! After Lunch eating, Mrs James(she was our reliever) told us to go to the classroom for the roll. After the roll, Room 6 went back to the hall to practice for the assembly.  Bethany and Zaina were the MC’s for our class assembly.

 

 

I talked after the National Anthem because I was one of the people to talk about Warren Pohatu. I talked about The Kiwi and how the Rogokako won the race and Paua lost. Rogokako used his gaint pet kiwi to win the race. But, that was not the thing I was nervous about. It was about the Kpop dance Eva, Bethany and I were going to proform. I had a cute pink shirt with a hello kitty on it and some shorts. It was really cute!

 

When the assembly started, I felt nervous. When I had to talk about Warren Pohatu, my pronunciation was good, because they were some Maori words in there(I don’t know Maori). When it was time to do the Kpop dance, I felt so nervous. but I got over with it and most people liked the dance.
