Pick a path👣 of sharing online👩🏻‍💻

Salam bloggers,

On the 10th of May 2024, Eva, Zaina and Anoosha(me) made a pick a path for Cybersmart. We got to choose what level. Beginner, Confident and Advanced. Eva, Zaina and I worked together in Advanced. We had to make a pick a path about how to share online and what you should not or should tell people.

I found it challenging to pick a background and theme for our pick a path. The easy thing was writing the answers, the slides and also to basically do everything expect the background and theme was easy.

If you want to see our pick a path, here it is:

Have you ever made a path panda themed before? Tell me in the comments!!

I hope you liked our pick a path!

Cybersmart💻 Navigating🧭 on our class🧑‍🤝‍🧑 site🌐

Salam bloggers,

On the 26th of March 2024, for Cybersmart, Room 6 played BINGO on our Chromebooks. There was a slide on the Class site and we made a copy of one slide that had the bingo board. Mr Albert said that we had to make a copy of that slide. So, we did. I’m the bingo board, we had to go around searching for things like”a page that you can see the whole page without scrolling” type of thing. I have done all of them. There were about 16 squares! We did this to learn where things are in our class site

I found it hard to find some things like the timetable and stuff. I found it easy to take the screenshots, insert them and also put them in the right square.

Here is the slide with my bingo board:

I hope you like my bingo board!

Shortcut✂ Poster📜

ˈɡrēdiNG bloggers,

Last week, Room 6 did Cybersmart. In Cybersmart, we had to make a poster about our favorite shortcut.  I made one with Avaya(because she was my buddy) We made it on Google drawing and it was really fun! We made it at the last block last week. Also, the whole class listened while Mr Albert talked about bookmarks. He told us we NEEDED those bookmarks to get to them easier but we didn’t make a doc or slide about it. And I had all the bookmarks💅.

I found it challenging to find the pictures that Avaya and I liked to put on the Google drawing. The easy thing was to put the writing on and change the background.

If you want to see Avaya and my Shortcut poster, here is it:

I hope you like our favorite shortcut!!

💻Digital Dig🕳️

Annyeong-haseyo bloggers,

On the 4th of March 2024, Room 6 had Cybersmart with Mr Albert. We looked at a google slides with lots of shortcuts with the keyboard. After we had gone through some slides together as a class, Mr Albert told us to look at the rest of the slides on our chromebooks. And that’s what we did. We had to make a copy so we could do the activities that were on the Google slides.

I found it easy to make a copy and do the activities. What I found hard was nothing, really. Now, I’m going to share some shortcuts that I learnt or already knew.

  • Ctrl+Shift+Q+Q= Sign or Shut down
  • Ctrl+ += Zoom in
  • Ctrl+ – = Zoom out
  • Ctrl+zero= Reset zoom
  • Ctrl+w= Close tab
  • Ctrl+t= Open new tab

Now I will show you my favourite activity in the slides:

I hope you like my favourite activity!

Have you ever done an activity on Google slides or have you made one? Please tell me in the comments!

🌞Summer Learning🔰 Journey🚓 Super hero🦸 task

S̄wạs̄dī bloggers,

On the 5th of December 2023, Room 8 and 9 went into room 7 to do Cybersmart. We soon found out that we had to register on the Summer Learning Journey and we had to do a type of task like we had to open a google drawing. Then we had to go to Craiyon.com and type some words and we had to press a button that said draw after we wrote the words that described our character. When we found the picture we liked, we put it on the google drawing and we had to write a discription that describes our charecter.

I really liked that lesson of Cybersmart because you could make your OWN superhero. The challenging part was that it was hard finding a picture I liked and also it was hard when I had to write the weakness and her weapons. We also had like 30 minutes on the 6th of December to finish it and post it.

If you want to see my super hero and her history and stuff here it is:

Hope you like my ANOOSHA MADE Superhero. I had

🗞News Article 🎨

Salam bloggers,

On the 20th of November 2023, Room 8 had to make a News Article on Google drawing. You could choose whatever uses AI because AI is our Inquiry topic.  The main ideas were Self driving cars and ChatGPT. Eva and I choose ChatGPT because it sounded the easiest. It sounded the eastiest because there is an app that is called ChatGPT that can tell you about ChatGPT.( it’s ChatGPT can tell you about her/him)

It was not that hard because I used ChatGPT. But, it was hard making the template and writing in my own words.

I hope you like it.

Here is my News Article:

I really hope you liked it!

😎Smart Searching🕵

Kia Ora bloggers,

On the 14th of November 2023, Room 8 went into Room 9 to do some Cybersmart. We have finished the media topic and we are doing a topic about Smart Searching. We watched a video about how Google works like how it finds pages in like HALF a second of what words you have put in. We have learnt that the search bar or URL bar is called an Ominbox.

After that, Miss Patel explained what we were going to do next. Room 8 and and 9 had some words on a google slides which they made a copy of. There were words like, Blue sky and words like that. We had to search those words on Google and take a screenshot of what came up when we searched it. We had put it on the slides.

If you want to see the slides and see what came up when I searched it, here it is:

The challenging part of doing it was that we had to Google MOSTLY everything and it took long getting the information and what parts we had to screenshot the right things and what information we had to put in and not put in.

Cybersmart Drawing Tutorial🖊

Happy Indian Language week bloggers,

On the 7th of November 2023, Room 8(My class) had Cybersmart. We had to watch some drawing tutorials on the google slides for the Cybersmart. We had to choose what do make, a Google Drawing, Google sheets or a drawing on paper. If you choose paper, you had to make a drawing tutorial. Vanessah, Eva and I chose to do the drawing on paper because we wanted to do the tutorial and we also wanted to draw on the paper. My video was 8:06 sec. Vanessah’s video was 9:26 sec and Eva’s video was 6:01 sec. We had to do a lot of retaking because people kept coming in or we messed up what we were saying. There were also a lot of pauses because we were about to laugh, or we had to show the paper to the camera while we were drawing so we obviously had to pause it so they don’t know we were doing it on a chromebook🤫.

If you wanted to see the video, Edublogs will not let me put on the video because the video is too heavy or too long. I’m sorry if you wanted to see my tutorial. I will TRY to put all the media I need in all my blog posts.

It was also funny when Eva or Vanessah said something weird or somthing I ALWAYS had to pause the video before I laughed. Because if I did not pause it, I would have to redo the WHOLE video.

ⓂMaking Media🔉

Happy Halloween bloggers,

On the 31st of October 2023, Room 8 went into Room 9 to do Cybersmart. We were still doing media as our topic. We first had to watch a film festival movie that was NOT from our school. After we watched that, we had to make a comment. We were supposed to do 2 comments, but I did not have enough time to comment on the second one.

After that, Mrs Patel showed us a slides of what we are going to be doing. She told us to show you this slide so here it is:

It’s the things and places of a REAL article. She told us we had to use a template(that was on the slides) and make a article about what happened at school that week or Term 4 at home or school. We could not have a buddy but we could help each other. I wrote about swimming since Room 8(my class) was going swimming today! It was hard to find the pictures because I had to search them on google since I could not find the shared folder that Mrs Patel shared with us  with the swimming images.

It took me 1 hour and quarter of a hour to finish my swimming newsletter article.  I don’t know why, it was really fun to write it. I really like making it and I especially liked making the advertisements! Here is my article:

The image that is with the writing, is not from our school. It is from Google.

Sorry if you can’t press on the “Related Articles”. You can search them up on Google.

😕How to make a🏮Lantern for Chinese Language Week⬅

Ni hao bloggers,

This week is Chinese Language Week and Eva  and I will teach you how to make a Chinese Lantern.

Steps:

  1. Get paper and scissors to use (coloured paper is better then normal paper)
  2. Cut the bottom edge of the paper (at the dotted line). This will be the future handle.
  3. Fold the paper in half “hamburger style” (at the solid line).
  4. Fold the paper in half along solid line
  5. Cut along dotted lines through both sides of the paper. Make sure to stop before you get to the end of the paper to keep the strips all connected.
  6. Starting from the folded crease, cut along the dotted lines.
  7. Unfold the paper and loop both edges together. Seal edges on both ends with clear tape (or a stapler).
  8. Seal both ends with tape.
  9. Tape or staple on your handle.
    • Optional: Decorate and hang as desired!

Thank you for looking or trying making these paper lanterns!
